What Is Montessori?
As you are most likely already aware, a Montessori Education focuses on learning rather than teaching, encouraging versus testing, and overall allows for a more individualized experience for your child. By having a large curriculum on hand, it provides the teacher room to adapt and thereby give your child the ability to learn at his or her needs, with the ending result being that your child will be able to truly think for his- or herself. The current education system simply does not provide your child with the same level of genuine learning or personal attention that this system offers.
What Will Your Child Learn?

How Does It Work?
The most obvious aspect of which you might be unsure is how exactly a Montessori classroom works. By having various activities in the classroom readily available to the children, they are allowed to select which activities most interest them, which then helps enhance their knowledge on subjects that they love. The teachers observe and offer gentle guidance when needed, but the ultimate goal is for the children to learn to independently solve problems and stimulate their own education. By giving them the option to pick subjects they enjoy, and allowing them the ability to simply observe their peers engaging in activities, each child is thoroughly prepared for independence.
